Often children and adolescents are not able to tell their story with words alone, so I utilize Play Therapy to allow the expression of the hurt in a way that is developmentally appropriate for them. Whether it is Art, Play, Music, or Dance, I encourage the trauma to unfold naturally, which is the first step in the healing process.

Although my primary focus is working with children and adolescents, sometimes the best way to help the child is to work with her/his family as a whole. I incorporate several approaches in this to engage each family member including Positive Parenting, Communication, Play Therapy and Relationship Building.
